Is it possible that we are dreaming right now? Could it be that the experiences we are having are not in fact being caused by the existence of real things existing independently of us, but are merely the figments of our own imagination?
This session invites children to explore the boundary between reality and illusion. We ask the classical philosophical question of what, if any, criteria can be used to distinguish reality from illusion? And consider the function, meaning and value of illusion in our lives.
There are two documents in the zip file for this session: A lesson plan and children’s follow-up activities.
